DEAD (OF) SUMMER –  Matteo Ceschi
Summer is the season of free spirits, people want to live summer without compromise – don’t really care about the location where they stay; don’t care about the meaning of “vacations”. A big town, Milan, and an island in the middle of the Aegean Sea, Naxos, are the theaters that I’ve chosen to tell the stories of a bunch of free spirits in the “dead (of) summer.”

The Dead of Summer – Keith Goldstein

The “Dead of Summer” is the time when summer is at its peak. When the heat and humidity are oppressive, forcing those that live on the street to seek the shadows, the shelter of buildings and phone booths or whatever is close by. Some just drop where they are. A heat and drug induced haze of reality, leaving belongings behind, sleeping the daylight away.
