Africa Oye is the UK’s biggest live festival of African music and culture and has held a place in my hart for many years.
I have been lucky enough to have been shooting this event for quite a few years now and can say from the bottom of my heart its the best UK festival I have ever attended and I have been to nearly every UK festival. Africa Oye has something very special about it and its not just the artists its the amazing people that attend the event.
As a photographer its a must attend event you just never know what you are going to get from one moment to the next. I spend most of my time exploring the crowed and leave the other guys to shoot the artists.
Africa Oye is 20th and 21st June this year, yes this weekend and I am so very excited, this event for me is the start of the festival season in the UK as Liverpool International Music Festival is the end.
