Rather than photographing entire buildings, I often find myself looking for interesting patterns and shapes that makes modern architecture such fun to explore; all we have to do as photographers is find those patterns, shapes and form.
This image of tiles, which cover the Energy House within the Liverpool University complex is a case in point. I had walked by this building several times before and not really noticed these patterns on the rear of the building. I took two or three images and this one is my favourite.
Captured with my Fujifilm X-Pro1 and 18mm ƒ2 lens, processed in Lightroom v.5.5 and Niksoft’s Silver Efex Pro2.
